Reopening Measures

We’re a Good to Go & See It Safely approved venue

We have been granted the use of Society Of London Theatre & UK Theatre’s See It Safely mark and are an approved Visit England We’re Good To Go venue.

This certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and prioritise the safety of our audiences, visitors and staff.

Your safety and wellbeing is vital to us. To ensure you feel safe, secure and comfortable at all times, we’ve been working meticulously to introduce a wide range of new measures across your theatre. Always check your pre-show email for the measures in place for the show you are attending.

  • Performances

  • Can you store my luggage at the theatre?

    No, we are unable to offer a cloakroom facility and request that personal belongings are kept to a minimum.

  • Do I need to wear a face covering?

    We strongly recommend and kindly request that you wear face coverings at all times throughout the venue unless you are actively eating and drinking – please keep the period you are not wearing a face covering for this purpose to a minimum. If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, please inform our staff upon entry. Children under the age of 11 are exempt from wearing face coverings.

    If you are attending a workshop, learning activity or class, once again we would strongly recommend and kindly request that you wear your face covering to the session, until advised otherwise by the group leader.

  • Do you accept cash?

    No, we ask that all payments are made by card. Contactless payments can be made for transactions up to £45.

  • Will there be temperature checks?

    There will be temperature checks as you enter the building. This is carried out by a member of staff who will point a non-contact temperature gun at your forehead.

    If this device indicates you have a high temperature, unfortunately, we will unable to let you enter. You should then call the Box Office between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, to discuss your booking.

  • What time should I arrive?

    The doors to the building will be open from one hour before the start of the show.

    The doors to the theatre will open 30 minutes before the performance.

    Please ensure that you allow enough time to queue for entry to the building, toilets and ordering your refreshments if desired.

  • Can I collect my tickets on the day?

    No, we are no longer offering tickets for collection on the day of the performance as this can cause congestion. E-tickets can be sent to your email address for you to show on your phone on the day, or physical tickets can be posted to your address.

  • Are hand sanitising stations in place?

    Yes, hand sanitiser is available in prominent places throughout the building, including at the main entrance. Please use these stations and practice good hand hygiene.

  • If I am late can I still see the show?

    Unfortunately, we are unable to admit latecomers to the performance.

    Please allow plenty of time for your journey, queuing and temperature checks upon arrival. You are welcome to take your seats up to 1 hour before the performance.

  • If the show is cancelled will I get a refund?

    If we are required by any COVID-19 government guidance or restrictions to cancel a performance, tickets may be exchanged or refunded.

  • Can I buy tickets on the door?

    No, all tickets must be purchased in advance. This can be done on our website, by phone, or in person during the Box Office opening hours listed in the Box Office section.

  • If I develop symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with a source of the virus, can I still attend the theatre?

    You should not attend the venue and contact us immediately if you:

    • believe you may be infected with COVID-19;
    • have experienced symptoms in the last 14 days;
    • have been in close proximity to anyone who has experienced symptoms in the last 14 days;
    • have arrived in England in the last 14 days and are not covered by the exemption rules relating to self-isolation; or
    • have been instructed to self-isolate.

    Any individual who considers themselves to be clinically extremely vulnerable or who is in the same household or support bubble as someone who considers themselves to be clinically extremely vulnerable is advised not to attend.

  • What cleaning measures are in place?

    The theatre is professionally cleaned on an increased basis. Contact surfaces such as handles and toilets are cleaned regularly throughout the day using antiviral cleaning products.

  • What if I have a problem with my booking or tickets?

    If you have any booking queries, please contact our Box Office as soon as possible, as it is a lot easier to resolve any issues in advance rather than upon arrival.

  • Will booster seats be available?

    Booster seats will be available and will be cleaned after ever use with an Anti-viral cleaner

    Yes, our café is now open from Monday to Friday, 10am till 3pm.

    It will also open 1hr 30min before the start time of an evening show.

  • Is the Box Office open?

    Yes, our Box Office is open from Monday to Saturday between 10am and 5pm.We are currently operating with reduced staff and you may need to wait longer than usual to be served. You can also book tickets via our website, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Can I make a group or school booking?

    We welcome groups of all sizes for all our productions. Please contact the Box Office if you would like any further advice or would like assistance with your booking.

  • Are workshops, learning activities and classes going ahead?

    All workshops, learning activities and classes are going ahead. The theatre or your activity provider will be in touch if this changes.
