Your safety and wellbeing is vital to us as we reopen the doors to your theatre. To ensure you feel safe, secure and comfortable at all times, we’ve been working meticulously to introduce a wide range of new measures across your theatre.

  • Cafe

  • How many different households can sit together?

    In line with Government restrictions, only one household can sit together. The only exception to this is if you are in a support bubble with a person from another household. This rule applies for all social interaction within the venue, and you should not mingle with those outside of your household.

  • Do I need to wear a face covering?

    Yes, face coverings are mandatory at all times throughout the venue unless you are actively eating and drinking – please keep the period you are not wearing a face covering for this purpose to a minimum. If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, please inform our staff upon entry. Children under the age of 11 are exemption from wearing a face covering.
    If you are attending a workshop, learning activity or class, you must wear your face covering to the session, and may take it off when advised by the group leader?

  • Do you accept cash?

    No, we ask that all payments are made by card. Contactless payments can be made for transactions up to £45.

  • Are hand sanitising stations in place?

    Yes, hand sanitiser is available in prominent places throughout the building, including at the main entrance. Please use these stations and practice good hand hygiene.

  • Is the café open?

    The café is open from Monday to Friday, between 10am and 3pm, serving a range of sandwiches, snacks, hot and cold drinks and sweet drinks. Due to the café operating with limited staff, we are unable to offer hot food at this time.

  • What cleaning measures are in place?

    The theatre is professionally cleaned on an increased basis. Contact surfaces such as handles and toilets are cleaned regularly throughout the day using antiviral cleaning products.

  • Performances

  • How many different households can sit together?

    In line with Government restrictions, only one household can sit together. The only exception to this is if you are in a support bubble with a person from another household.   • Will there be temperature checks?

    Yes, all customers will be required to have their temperature checked using a non-contact device upon entry. If this device indicates you have a high temperature, unfortunately we will unable to let you enter. You should then call the Box Office between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, to discuss your booking.

  • Do I need to wear a face covering?

    Yes, face coverings are mandatory at all times throughout the venue unless you are actively eating and drinking – please keep the period you are not wearing a face covering for this purpose to a minimum.   • Does the 10pm curfew apply to theatres?

    No, the start time will remain the same, as performances are not subject to the 10pm curfew. We are unable to serve alcohol after 10pm.

  • If the show is cancelled will I get a refund?

    If we are required by any COVID-19 government guidance or restrictions to cancel a performance, tickets may be exchanged or refunded.

    Yes, hand sanitiser is available in prominent places throughout the building, including at the main entrance. Please use these stations and practice good hand hygiene.

  • Are performances still going ahead?

  • How will social distancing be maintained?

    Social distancing will be maintained through floor markers, signage and guiding barriers/queuing systems. Staff will also be present in all areas ensuring that social distancing is maintained.

  • How will we exit the theatre at the end of the performance?

    To help maintain social distancing, once the performance finishes, please remain in your seat until an usher indicates for you to leave. All exits from the auditorium can be used at the end of the performance.

  • If I develop symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with a source of the virus, can I still attend the theatre?

    You should not attend the venue and contact us immediately if you:

    • believe you may be infected with COVID-19;
    • have experienced symptoms in the last 14 days;
    • have been in close proximity to anyone who has experienced symptoms in the last 14 days;
    • have arrived in England in the last 14 days and are not covered by the exemption rules relating to self-isolation; or
    • have been instructed to self-isolate.

    Any individual who considers themselves to be clinically extremely vulnerable or who is in the same household or support bubble as someone who considers themselves to be clinically extremely vulnerable is advised not to attend.

  • Can I make a group or school booking?

    In line with current government guidance the maximum number of tickets in one group will be 6.

  • What cleaning measures are in place?

    The theatre is professionally cleaned on an increased basis. Contact surfaces such as handles and toilets are cleaned regularly throughout the day using antiviral cleaning products.

  • Will there be security checks?

    Security checks may be in operation on your visit. Our security staff have made adjustments to reduce the contact needed when conducting these checks. Other security measures, some visible, others not, are still in operation to keep you safe during your visit.

  • Will booster seats be available?

    Due to increased risk, booster seats will not be available. Due to social distancing in place, there will be much more room around each seated group and the need for booster seats is likely to be reduced. You are welcome to bring your own booster/car seat should you wish.

  • What time should I arrive?

    The doors to the theatre will open one hour before the performance. Whilst our bar and café will usually be closed, drinks and snacks can be ordered to your seat. Please ensure that you allow enough time to queue for entry to the building, toilets and ordering your refreshments, if desired.

  • If I am late can I still see the show?

    We will be following a strict non-admission policy for latecomers, so please allow plenty of time for your journey.

  • Can I collect my tickets on the day?

    No, we are no longer offering tickets for collection on the day of the performance as this can cause congestion. E-tickets can be sent to your email address for you to show on your phone on the day, or physical tickets can be posted to your address.

  • Can I buy tickets on the door?

    No, all tickets must be purchased in advance. This can be done on our website, by phone, or in person during the Box Office opening hours listed in the Box Office section.

  • What if I have a problem with my booking or tickets?

    If you have any booking queries, please contact our Box Office as soon as possible, as it is a lot easier to resolve any issues in advance rather than upon arrival.
