We’re a Good to Go & See It Safely approved venue

We have been granted the use of Society Of London Theatre & UK Theatre’s See It Safely mark and are an approved Visit England We’re Good To Go venue.

This certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing and prioritise the safety of our audiences, visitors and staff.

  • Bar

  • Do you accept cash?

    No, we ask that all payments are made by card. Contactless payments can be made for transactions up to £45.

  • Is the bar open?

    Our bar is currently closed.

    Those attending a theatre performance can take advantage of our at-seat delivery service, with a range of drinks and snacks delivered to their seat.

    Theatres are exempt from only being able to serve alcohol with a meal, however, we can only serve alcohol half an hour before the performance, and cannot serve after 10pm.

  • Are hand sanitising stations in place?

    Yes, hand sanitiser is available in prominent places throughout the building, including at the main entrance. Please use these stations and practice good hand hygiene.

  • Do I need to wear a face covering?

    Yes, face coverings are mandatory at all times throughout the venue unless you are actively eating and drinking – please keep the period you are not wearing a face covering for this purpose to a minimum. If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, please inform our staff upon entry. Children under the age of 11 are exemption from wearing a face covering.

    If you are attending a workshop, learning activity or class, you must wear your face covering to the session, and may take it off when advised by the group leader.

  • Workshops, Learning Activities and Classes

  • Will there be temperature checks?

    Yes, all customers will be required to have their temperature checked using a non-contact device upon entry. If this device indicates you have a high temperature, unfortunately we will unable to let you enter. You should then call the Box Office between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, to discuss your booking.

  • Are hand sanitising stations in place?

    Yes, hand sanitiser is available in prominent places throughout the building, including at the main entrance. Please use these stations and practice good hand hygiene.

  • What cleaning measures are in place?

    The theatre is professionally cleaned on an increased basis. Contact surfaces such as handles and toilets are cleaned regularly throughout the day using antiviral cleaning products.

  • If I develop symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with a source of the virus, can I still attend the theatre?

    You should not attend the venue and contact us immediately if you:

    • believe you may be infected with COVID-19;
    • have experienced symptoms in the last 14 days;
    • have been in close proximity to anyone who has experienced symptoms in the last 14 days;
    • have arrived in England in the last 14 days and are not covered by the exemption rules relating to self-isolation; or
    • have been instructed to self-isolate.

    Any individual who considers themselves to be clinically extremely vulnerable or who is in the same household or support bubble as someone who considers themselves to be clinically extremely vulnerable is advised not to attend.

  • Are workshops, learning activities and classes going ahead?

    All workshops, learning activities and classes are going ahead. The theatre or your activity provider will be in touch if this changes.

  • Do I need to wear a face covering?

  • Performances

  • Do you accept cash?

    No, we ask that all payments are made by card. Contactless payments can be made for transactions up to £45.

  • If the show is cancelled will I get a refund?

    If we are required by any COVID-19 government guidance or restrictions to cancel a performance, tickets may be exchanged or refunded.

  • Does the 11pm curfew apply to theatres?

    No, the 11pm curfew does not apply to theatres, however, we are unable to serve alcohol after 10pm.

  • How will we exit the theatre at the end of the performance?

    To help maintain social distancing, once the performance finishes, please remain in your seat until an usher indicates for you to leave. We may use different exits from the auditorium than you are used to – please follow staff directions. We kindly ask that you refrain from waiting in the foyer after the performance, to enable others to leave safely.

  • Can I collect my tickets on the day?

    No, we are no longer offering tickets for collection on the day of the performance as this can cause congestion. E-tickets can be sent to your email address for you to show on your phone on the day, or physical tickets can be posted to your address.

  • Will there be temperature checks?

  • What time should I arrive?

    The doors to the theatre will open one hour before the performance. Whilst our bar and café will usually be closed, drinks and snacks can be ordered to your seat. Please ensure that you allow enough time to queue for entry to the building, toilets and ordering your refreshments, if desired.

  • Are hand sanitising stations in place?

    Yes, hand sanitiser is available in prominent places throughout the building, including at the main entrance. Please use these stations and practice good hand hygiene.

  • Can I buy tickets on the door?

    No, all tickets must be purchased in advance. This can be done on our website, by phone, or in person during the Box Office opening hours listed in the Box Office section.

  • If I am late can I still see the show?

    Unfortunately, we are unable to admit latecomers to the performance.

    Please allow plenty of time for your journey, queuing and temperature checks upon arrival. You are welcome to take your seats up to 1 hour before the performance.

  • What cleaning measures are in place?

    The theatre is professionally cleaned on an increased basis. Contact surfaces such as handles and toilets are cleaned regularly throughout the day using antiviral cleaning products.

  • Will booster seats be available?

    Due to increased risk, booster seats will not be available. Due to social distancing in place, there will be much more room around each seated group and the need for booster seats is likely to be reduced. You are welcome to bring your own booster/car seat should you wish.

    If you have any booking queries, please contact our Box Office as soon as possible, as it is a lot easier to resolve any issues in advance rather than upon arrival.

  • Can I make a group or school booking?

    In line with current government guidance, we can only accept bookings from those within the same household or support bubble.

  • Will there be security checks?

    Security checks may be in operation on your visit. Our security staff have made adjustments to reduce the contact needed when conducting these checks. Other security measures, some visible, others not, are still in operation to keep you safe during your visit.

  • Are performances still going ahead?

    Performances of Christmas Allsorts from 16th December 2020 have been cancelled, in line with Tier 3 Restrictions.

    Our Box Office are working to contact all bookers with tickets to affected performances, in order of performance date.

  • How will social distancing be maintained?

    Social distancing will be maintained through floor markers, signage and guiding barriers/queuing systems. Staff will also be present in all areas ensuring that social distancing is maintained.

    Yes, our Box Office is open from Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm.
    We are currently operating with reduced staff and you may need to wait longer than usual to be served. You can also book tickets via our website, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
