QNew Transformation
We’re fundraising to celebrate the Theatre’s 65th Birthday with a refreshing facelift for artists, participants and audiences alike.
Q Rehearsal Space
A fresh flexible rehearsal space is being developed behind the stage
Q Learning Space
The Q Learning space will be a new and energising dedicated space for the Theatre’s expanding range of learning and participatory work
Q Artist Space
The old rehearsal room will turn into an intimate space, with air conditioning and new lights, for developing new theatre
Q Bar
Our new bar will be situated on the ground floor, creating room for the Q Learning Space
Q Access
New Q Rehearsal Space and Q Learning Space will both be accessible to D/deaf and disabled artists and participants
Q Backstage
Urgent replacements will be made to a range of outdated equipment backstage, helping make the theatre more environmentally sustainable
Q Public
There’ll be new air conditioning in parts of the foyer where it doesn’t work properly, atmospheric lighting, quieter hand dryers, and a bigger foyer stage
Q Building & Facilities
Essential repairs to the exterior of the Theatre will ensure it’s weatherproofed for the future, avoiding more expensive replacement and the corrosion of the fabric
