A Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch production

Sharon ‘N’ Barry Do ‘Romeo and Juliet’

Directed by Douglas Rintoul

An everyday comedy

⭐⭐⭐⭐‘The MUST-SEE play’ The Daily Mail

⭐⭐⭐⭐ (& a half) ‘A very enjoyable way to spend your evening and it is well worth catching the production.’ West End Best Friend

⭐⭐⭐⭐ ‘Hilarious…a love letter to theatre in lockdown and provides some much-needed laughter in these difficult times.’ London Theatre 1

⭐⭐⭐⭐ ‘An absolute hoot…the biggest compliment I can give the show is that it reminded me of the classic Morecombe and Wise plays, with its rapid changes, inspired silliness and asides to the camera.’ British Theatre

⭐⭐⭐⭐ ‘This gentle comedy has plenty to put a smile on people’s faces during this difficult time.’ Love London, Love Culture

⭐⭐⭐⭐ ‘Wonderfully silly and creative: an absolutely joyful way to spend a Saturday evening.’ Everything Theatre

⭐⭐⭐⭐ ‘Highly recommended – especially if you have any Year 11s who are supposed to be studying Romeo and Juliet for GCSE this summer.’ Last Minute Theatre Tickets

Sharon and Barry are done with baking, Joe Wicks & Netflix and have stumbled upon Sharon’s old battered school text of Romeo & Juliet in their loft. After a bit of a read and a watch of the classic, the couple’s been inspired to have a crack at the play themselves…

They’ve hacked out the boring bits, worked out playing all the parts, and the props have just arrived from Amazon!

So, join them live from their living room for this inadvertently hilarious, but surprisingly touching, take on Shakespeare’s most romantic story.

Suitable for all ages 7+

Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch: theatre on Zoom: privacy notice

This production is extensively promoted as being on Zoom. Customers will need to sign up to the Zoom application and its privacy policies in order to participate. The event is in ‘meeting’ format, rather than ‘webinar’, so other participants can be seen alongside the performers if they wish to be. Participants are automatically muted. Whilst we’d welcome seeing the reactions ‎of participants, as part of the shared theatrical experience, video can be switched off and on at any point, and guidance is provided on how to do so. Participants can change or shorten their name label on Zoom before entering the event, or during it, but will need to leave and re-enter if making the name change during the event itself. The event is not recorded. If you have any related questions, please contact the Box Office in advance of the event, or the Chat Help function during it, and we’d be delighted to assist.
