With a cast of over 50 local performers, the Queen’s Theatre will stage the Hornchurch premiere of the Olivier award-winning Our House.
The songs of Madness – Our House, Baggy Trousers, My Girl, Driving in My Car and the all-time classic It Must Be Love – are some of the most popular hits of all time.
Winner of the 2003 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, Our House is a raucous tale of life and love, heartbreak and hilarity, good and bad, set in London’s famous Camden Town.
It’s Joe Casey’s sixteenth birthday and he’s treating his girlfriend Sarah to an evening in a brand new luxury apartment – the only problem is they have to break in. When the police turn up, Joe has to decide – run away, or face the music – a choice that will set the course of his life, and his love, forever.
Our House was first produced at the Cambridge Theatre, London on 28 October 2002. Producers were Tiger Aspect Productions, Rupert Lord, Andre Ptaszynski and Phil McIntyre in association with Madness. This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd.
