I AM HERE is a new online project featuring trailblazing theatre makers to break down barriers between young people and theatre. This September our Young Changemakers will host four FREE online workshops led by artists who use their work to stand up and shout “I am here!”. Each weekly session will focus on a different intersection of identity: Class, Race, Sexuality and Gender, exploring representation in the arts and showing that whoever you are, theatre has a place for you.
This session features a discussion on class with actor Paul Bradshaw, and led by Young Changemaker Rennae Walker.
Paul is a working-class creative from London. He graduated in Musical Theatre from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts
in 2014 and since then he has carved out a career spanning across several art forms. From acting in TV, Theatre and Musical Theatre to directing and writing. He has worked at venues across the West End, UK and on the fringe in London. He has also worked as a freelance facilitator professionally and has several years of experience delivering workshops working within the prison system and at drama schools including Mountview
and The Brit School.
The sessions will take place on Zoom, and will feature a leading theatre-maker discussing their experiences in theatre, followed by a Q&A.
I AM HERE is aimed at 18-25 year olds but booking is open to all. Tickets are free, but advanced booking is essential.
I AM HERE is made possible by funding from the London Community Response Fund administered by City Bridge Trust, the City of London Corporation’s charitable funder.
