The Q Learning space will be a new and energising dedicated space for the Theatre’s expanding range of learning and participatory work with young people and the local community, situated in the heart of the theatre and easily accessible to everyone.

We’ll convert the current lower ground floor bar for this. Glass panels and a new ceiling will be installed so that it’s soundproofed but the curious can see inside – and perhaps be encouraged to get involved! There’ll be a new floor, air conditioning, lighting and all the equipment needed to ensure creative life-changing experiences for thousands of local people.

• This year, we plan to work with 565 people on site every week across our regular term time projects (a 15% increase on 17-18)
• The new learning space would see regular weekly activity starting at 32.5 hours every week (a 20% increase on 17/18 activity), enabling capacity for further expansion.
