From the makers of Britain’s Got Bhangra comes the world premiere of a new British musical.

Rifco’s most ambitious musical yet, Frankie Goes to Bollywood is a breathtakingly colourful journey of romance, epic songs, and spectacular dance –  inspired by real stories of British women caught in the spotlight of the biggest film industry in the world.

Frankie never wanted to be a star, and after a chance encounter with a director, she finds herself transported to the ruthless world of Bollywood. As she climbs the sparkling staircase of stardom, Frankie must confront what she is willing to do for fame and fortune. Can she stay in the Bollywood family and still be true to herself?

Amidst the heroes and villains, ornate costumes and sweeping sets, get ready for this tale of being British in Bollywood.

Genesis Dance Project & New Work

After a hugely successful 2022 season, New English Ballet Theatre returns with a dynamic mixed bill of eight works to music from Baroque to Pop, choreographed by six successful choreographers.

These include British choreographer and director Peter Leung and NEBT’s Assistant Director and Associate Choreographer, Daniela Cardim. After achieving international acclaim for her 2022 ballets Stabat Mater and Reset, she is creating a new work to music by Johann Sebastian Bach.

The programme also features the world premiere of the electrifying Genesis Dance Project, a collection of works by four different choreographers, set to six songs by legendary band Genesis. Created with the band’s generous permission, this modern-day ballet features a broad range of choreographic styles, imaginative costumes, and spectacular imagery, showcasing some of Genesis’ most iconic pop and rock hits. 

The work includes The Cinema Show by Ruth Brill, Firth of Fifth by Valentino Zucchetti, I Can’t Dance and Invisible Touch by Kristen McNally, and Ripples and Watcher of the Skies by Wayne Eagling.

New English Ballet Theatre (NEBT) is a dynamic, critically acclaimed ballet company. Founded in 2010, NEBT is dedicated to creating exceptional dance experiences for the widest possible audience. Working with a range of emerging, developing and established choreographers, designers and artists, NEBT has built a solid repertoire of works that represent the versatility and significance of ballet today.

Join Twinkle Bear in her dream along with her friends Teddy, Chuck the cowboy, Flutterstar the Fairy and Grandad Jack as they journey through lands made of food, under the sea, join the circus, visit princesses, see the Hollywood lights and get frozen in an Ice Adventure. 

Let’s Celebrate 75 years of the Wynne School of Dancing

Come and celebrate 75 years of dance with Havering’s oldest established family dance school. This performance is dedicated to the life, memory and work of Miss Freda Wynne who started the school back in 1948 in the family dining room with just a handful of pupils!
 
Thousands of children and adults have been a part of the school’s story, many having gone on to professional careers. So, let’s celebrate the joy of dance together in this colourful performance showcasing the whole school. … 5 6 7 8 !
