Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch, a ‎vibrant producing theatre, focused on Outer East London and South Essex, is seeking an experienced Associate Producer (fixed term).
The Associate Producer will work with QTH full time for 12 weeks, from Monday 26 April – Friday 16 July 2021, to:
‎* support creative practitioners emerging from COVID-19 to access funding for their work
* provide a range of advice and ensure creative practitioners maximise use of the support QTH can offer them
* offer micro commissions to artists to test ideas responding to the period of cultural recovery
* deliver the initial talent development objectives within QTH’s 2021 – 2022 business plan
* help develop the talent development ambitions for QTH’s 2022 – 2023 business plan
* support the development of creative practitioners involved in QTH’s new collaborative project, a Creative‎ Estuary Co-commission, in June/July 2021
* research and pursue funding opportunities for potentially enabling a similar longer term role at QTH into the future
* ‎undertake some of QTH’s day to day programming and producing function
The Associate Producer will report to QTH’s Executive Director, and work closely with the Artistic Director, other staff and freelancers.
A pro rata salary of up to £35,000 will be available to the right candidate. Much of the work can be undertaken from home, but some in person presence at QTH to support relevant activities is likely to be required too.
Interested applicants should be experienced in supporting creative practitioners,‎ have a proven track record in cultural fundraising, be a good producer, pro active, a strategic thinker and share QTH’s commitment to diversity.
