Would you like the chance to be part of a production at the Queen’s Theatre? We have the opportunity for three girls to play the role of ‘Shelley’ in our professional production of In Basildon this spring!

In Basildon is a sharply funny drama, charting an East End family’s history from the homelands of Hackney, via Romford, to Basildon and beyond. It’s written by award-winning Romford playwright David Eldridge.

We are looking for three Caucasian girls, who look the age of 7 years, have an Essex accent and have Brown or Reddish hair, to play ‘Young Shelleyin the final scene of the play.

There will be three children cast who will alternate throughout the run. You will have to audition to take part.

Auditions: Friday 23 November, 5pm at the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch.

Please book an audition space by registering your child’s interest. You cannot just turn up on the day.

Rehearsals: Thursday (21, 28 Feb & 07 March) evenings from 4pm-6pm)

Technical / Dress Rehearsals: 12-14 March 2019 at the Queen’s Theatre

Performances: 15- 30 March 2019 (with matinees on Thursdays and Saturdays) at the Queen’s Theatre

Individuals must be available for all rehearsals, technical and dress rehearsals, and the full performance period. Performers will be supervised at all times by our licenced chaperone team, and subject to the terms of a performance licence.
