How to Book

Book your tickets online NOW.

  • Select the show you want to book in the What’s On section
  • Then click Book Now
  • You can choose where you want to sit from the seating plan and make secure credit/debit card payments

We accept all major credit and debit cards except American Express. A handling charge of £1 is payable for all transactions except for events which are within 7 days of the date of purchase.

The Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch only sells tickets through its own Box Office and doesn’t use discount ticket sites.

Visit the Box Office between 10am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday or from 10am to curtain-up on show days.

If there is a main house performance on a Sunday or a Bank Holiday, the Box Office opens one hour before the start of the show.

Call the Box Office on 01708 443333 to reserve tickets and to pay. The Box Office is open Monday – Saturday 10am until the evening show starts*.

We accept all major credit and debit cards except American Express. A handling charge of £1 is payable for all transactions.

Reserved tickets must be paid for within seven days, or as agreed with the Box Office.

Ticket Exchange MORE LESS

In some circumstances tickets can be exchanged for another performance of the same show, until 24 hours before the performance. There is a £1 charge per ticket for this service. We can only exchange tickets for Queen’s Theatre productions.

Ticket Re-sale MORE LESS

In some circumstances we may be able to re-sell returned tickets. Please contact the Box Office for further details.

Please note: once tickets have been purchased, money cannot be refunded, except in the event of a cancelled performance.

The Queen’s Theatre reserves the right, if necessary, to cancel or alter details of listed events.

The Queen’s Theatre is located in the centre of Hornchurch (next to Sainsbury’s).

By Car MORE LESS

The Queen’s Theatre is within easy reach of M25, A12, A13 and A127

  • Barking: 7.3 miles – 30 mins
  • Brentwood: 8.7 miles – 25 mins drive
  • Ilford: 7.1 miles – 28 mins drive
  • Romford: 2 miles – 10 mins drive
  • Upminster: 1.4 miles – 5 mins drive

From Central London

Leave London on the A13 heading east. Take the filter signed A1306 Dagenham, Hornchurch and follow signs to Hornchurch. Hornchurch is clearly signposted.

At the THIRD set of traffic lights turn LEFT into Cherry Tree Lane, follow this to a crossroads with traffic lights and go STRAIGHT ahead into South End Road, which becomes Abbs Cross Lane. At the end of Abbs Cross Lane is a ‘T’ junction with traffic lights. Turn RIGHT into Hornchurch High Street, then LEFT at the next set of traffic lights into Billet Lane. The theatre is on the right.

From North/East London

Leave London on the A12 heading east, until you reach the junction with the A127. Take the FLYOVER towards Southend. At the next traffic lights (which has a footbridge) turn RIGHT into Ardleigh Green Road. Ardleigh Green Road ends at a small roundabout, go STRAIGHT on into Butts Green Road. After crossing a railway bridge the road forks at a pub called The Chequers. Take the LEFT fork into North Street. The Queen’s Theatre is a short way on the right.

From the M25 clockwise

Leave the M25 at junction 28 and take the A12 towards London and Romford. At the next major junction (roundabout with flyover) turn LEFT on to the A127 towards Southend. At the next traffic lights (which has a footbridge) turn RIGHT into Ardleigh Green Road. Ardleigh Green Road ends at a small roundabout, go STRAIGHT on into Butts Green Road. After crossing a railway bridge the road forks at a pub called The Chequers. Take the LEFT fork into North Street. The Queen’s Theatre is a short way on the right.

There is a large car park next to the Theatre, free after 6pm. (Charges apply from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday. We don’t like it, but there it is.)

There are three parking spaces reserved for Blue Badge holders at the front of the building, and a ramp gives wheelchair access from street level to the foyer, Box Office and auditorium. Click here for building access information

There is a coach site at the front of the building with ample room for setting-down and picking-up.

By Tube MORE LESS

 

Take the District Line to Hornchurch, approximately 50 minutes from Embankment, or 25 minutes from Mile End (on the Central Line). Last weekday return tubes from Hornchurch to central London are 23.41. At Hornchurch turn LEFT out of the station. Either take a five-minute taxi ride to the theatre (there’s a taxi office immediately outside the station), or any Hornchurch bound bus (two stops to the High Street on the 193 or the 252; or the 256 stops right outside the Theatre).

Alternatively you can walk along Station Lane, turn LEFT into the High Street, then RIGHT into North Street and the Theatre is about 100 yards on the left. The total walking time is around 15 minutes from the station.

The 165, 256, 370 stop outside the Stage Door in North Street.

The 193, 248, 252, and 372 stop near Sainsbury’s in Hornchurch.

By Train: MORE LESS

from London Liverpool Street

Take the train from Liverpool Street or Stratford, towards Romford, then; either go to Gidea Park, and take a taxi to the theatre, or go to Romford and change on to the Romford/Upminster Overground line on platform 1. This leaves at 30-minute intervals (last train from Romford to Emerson Park 21.41 and from Emerson Park to Romford is 21.58). Leave the train at the first stop, Emerson Park, turn LEFT out of the station and stay on the right hand side of the road, the theatre is then a short five-minute walk away.

from London Fenchurch Street

Take the train from Fenchurch Street to Upminster (last train London Fenchurch Street to Upminster 0:34 and last train Upminster to London Fenchurch Street 0:07), then either turn LEFT out of the station to bus stops and catch any Romford-bound bus (the 248 to Hornchurch High Street, or the 370 passes the theatre), or change on to the Romford/Upminster Overground line on platform 6, which leaves at 30 minute intervals (last train from 21.54). Get off the train at the first stop, Emerson Park, turn LEFT out of the station, stay on the right side of the road and the Queen’s Theatre is a short five minute walk away.

Parking and Access

There is a slope as well as steps, illuminated at all times, to the main entrance of the building. There are two sets of doors, one automated, to the main entrance.

We have a wheelchair accessible lift in the foyer (for access to our bar area) and wheelchair accessible toilets in our south foyer and in our bar area with RADAR keys available.

  • You’ll find the main car park adjacent to the Theatre. Additionally there are three allocated parking spaces for blue badge holders at the front of the building with a lowered kerb to allow wheelchair access to the pavement.

Main Entrance MORE LESS

  • There’s a sloping ramp or thirteen (13) steps to the main entrance, which is illuminated at all times and two sets of mats between the entrance doors and the foyer.

Foyer & Café MORE LESS

  • The Box Office is located in the foyer. The counter is 4’ (1.2 metres) high.
  • There’s a wheelchair accessible toilet in the south foyer. RADAR keys are held at the Box Office, Kiosk, Bar, and Café, and available from Front of House staff.
  • The café is located in the foyer. There is a dropped counter. We’ll bring your order to your table.

Bar MORE LESS

  • There are stairs and a lift down to the Bar area, where there are toilet and baby changing facilities, and an accessible toilet. RADAR keys are held at the Box Office, Kiosk, Bar, and Café, and available from Front of House staff.

Auditorium MORE LESS

  • The entrance to the Auditorium is level with the foyer. There are shallow steps with a handrail to all rows except for row E. There are spaces for four (4) wheelchair users in row E – please tell us when you’re booking.

  • For the Box Office Induction Loop please turn hearing aids to the ‘T’ position. For Auditorium Infra-Red Transmission you’ll need a headset or necklace, which you can obtain from the Box Office. Just mention it when you’re booking.
