The Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch is a registered charity that is only able to enjoy success as an inspirational and renowned arts venue due to the loyal generosity of individuals, funding organisations and local businesses.
Our ticket prices are consistently among the lowest in London and Essex, and the Queen’s subsidises the cost of workshop places for children and adults to participate in learning through the arts.
In order for the Queen’s to continue its vision of affordable, high quality theatre and entertainment for everyone, we constantly need to raise funds. The Queen’s fundraising activities are focussed on providing opportunities for the development of theatre practitioners, audiences and staff.
Here are just some examples of what the Queen’s is currently fundraising for: 1) Keeping our ticket prices amongst the lowest in London and Essex and continuing to offer subsidised ticket schemes such as jump the Q and Quids In. 2)
Introducing a new Young People's Theatre Summer School for 16 to
25 year olds 4) Commissioning more productions and festivals that support new writing with a particular focus of writing for actor-musicians and encouraging diverse audiences to experience the Queen’s. 5) Ensuring the Queen’s building can continue to host exciting, popular theatre and welcome visitors with special access requirements. If you like what you see at the Queen’s, why not make a donation to help us to continue and develop our work. Further more if you are a UK taxpayer and Gift Aid your donation, we can claim back from the Treasury 28 pence for every pound that you donate! Remembering the Queen’s Theatre in your will means that your name and generosity will continue to go on, giving future generations the chance to experience, benefit and enjoy our work for many years to come.
