WE are excited to announce that the Queen’s Theatre won Best Entertainment Venue in the Havering Business Awards held last Friday (7 October).

We were also delighted to be shortlisted as a finalist for Best Family Venue. The Queen's was one of 30 organisations taking part in the prestigious annual awards, now in their seventh year of rewarding business excellence across the borough.

Queen’s Administrative Director Thom Stanbury was handed the Best Entertainment Venue accolade by celebrated comedian and impressionist Jon Culshaw, who hosted the glittering presentation ceremony at Maylands Golf Club.

Thom beamed: “We are overjoyed to win Best Entertainment Venue in the Havering Business Awards.

“The Queen’s welcomes 200,000 people through its doors annually, presenting 400 live performances of top-quality, affordable entertainment. Our hugely popular company of actor-musicians, cut to the chase…, work very hard to put on an enormous variety of drama, comedy, musicals and family pantomime.

“As a theatre in the heart of the community, we feel very proud to be acknowledged for our efforts to provide year-round entertainment that everyone in Havering can enjoy.”
