youth theatre programme

The Queen’s Youth Theatre Programme is an opportunity for young people aged 7 and 19 to get involved in drama. There is no selection process on the basis of experience or ability. The Youth Theatre is open to all, even those who have no previous experience of theatre. It is only essential that participants are interested, enthusiastic and committed.

There are 3 stages to the Youth Theatre Programme, and students will automatically progress through the groups as they get older:

Stage 1: Q-Club or Q-Club 2 - an introduction to Drama through games and improvisation
Ages 7-11 (School Years 3 to 6)

Q-Club: Saturday Mornings from 10.00am - 12.00pm

Q-Club 2: Saturday Afternoons from 12.30pm - 2.30pm

Stage 2: Junior Youth Theatre - exploring different styles of theatre with the same tutor each term
Ages 11-14 (School Years 7 to 9)
