work experience

The Queen’s Theatre offers work experience placements for students in year 10 and above and specialist work placements for university and college students. A work experience placement at the Queen’s involves working with all the departments in the theatre. If you are interested in performing you may be disappointed, as a placement here will not involve the opportunity to do this. You should be prepared to do a very wide variety of work, both office-based and practical.

specialist work placement
A specialist work placement at the Queen’s involves working in one or two departments in the theatre. If you are studying a particular theatrical discipline at college or university or you’re interested in getting more experience in a particular field such as Stage Management, Scenic Art or Wardrobe then this may be for you.

Once again if you’re interested in performing you may be disappointed, as a placement here will not involve the opportunity to do this. You should also be prepared to do some work in other departments from time to time.

application process
Post or email a letter of application and CV to: Claire Bailey-Day, Education Officer, The Queen's Theatre, Billet Lane, Hornchurch RM11 1QT or education@queens-theatre.co.uk
