6 – 24 November 2006The Point story and songs by Harry Nilsson original adaptation by Ron Pember and Bernard Miles The Point alternates live music with Harry Nilsson's delightful fable about a round-headed boy called Oblio, who lives in the land of Point - where everything and everybody has one! Oblio struggles to fit in with the other children in the land of Point, so his mother makes him a pointed hat, but he still feels pointless! Oblio’s pointlessness sees him banished to the Pointless Forest with his trusty dog Arrow. There they embark on a wonderful journey - discovering one extraordinary character after another! The Point appeared in 1971 as an animated television special, narrated by Ringo Starr. It contains many classic Nilsson songs, including the hit Me and My Arrow. This production explores the universal themes of belonging, acceptance and ‘discovering your point’ using a variety of interactive songs and activities.
