harry from the hill
by Kath Sayer
music and lyrics by Carol Sloman
A
joyous musical that celebrates 60 years of the Harold Hill Estate
and tells the heart-warming story of a young man in search of his
roots.
Meet Harry. Harry is
18 and he’s asking big questions about life – like where
he comes from, where he’s going and what he really wants.
Should he follow his dreams and become a rock musician, or keep
his mother happy and study law at Oxford? With just a few weeks
before he starts university, Harry discovers something that will
change his life forever.
This is the story of
a young man caught between 2 hills, 2 families and 2 directions
in life. Which path will he take?
Harry from
the Hill stars a massive cast of over 50 talented local amateur
performers, directed and designed by the Queen’s Theatre’s
own professional team, written by Queen’s Theatre New Writing
Award Winner, Kath Sayer, with songs by Queen’s Theatre Musical
Director Carol Sloman.
Come
and celebrate 60 years of the green green fields of Harold Hill!
