The Path of the Brave show image28 - 31 July
The Path of the Brave
by Dave Ross, Gerry Sweeney and Nick Dawson

The Path of the Brave came to an end on Saturday 31 July with an after show party that went long into the night. Samantha Lane, Director, gives her final thoughts on the project below.

"I was really pleased with the outcome of the show. The cast really pulled together during production week and worked hard to do justice to themselves and to the script. The technical rehearsals were long and tiring, particularly for those who had also been at work during the day, but it all paid off.

For me, the highlight was the reception of the audience and the fact that they had been thoroughly entertained for 2 hours. They were asked to suspend their disbelief and follow a story all told within the four walls of Cranham Hall - believe that panels became walls and dust sheets became sails or tepees - and they did, thanks to the performances of the cast, the great set and the atmospheric sound and lighting. As the run progressed, the shows got stronger and stronger.

However, despite the success of the production, it is important to recognise the process. I would personally like to thank everybody involved in the show for their hard work and enthusiasm - we made a great team!" - Samantha Lane, Director
