After
reading Drama and Theology at Hull University, Kit trained as an actor
at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. For ten years he had a successful
career acting in three films, numerous television programmes, 20 reps,
several major tours and at the National Theatre. In 1984 he turned to
directing and writing.
He has run two British repertory
companies and directed more than 80 professional productions all over
the world. These have included 6 Shakespeare’s, 8 Ayckbourns, 5
world premieres and 6 musicals.
April in Paris was
Kit’s fifth production at the Queen’s Theatre and follows
Cluedo, Corpse, Our Day Out and Chorus
of Disapproval.
Over the last 10 years he
has written and directed on video and audio and produced many business
conferences all over the world. For the past three years he has been a
partner in MaST International, a large training and consultancy company.
He also teaches and directs
at several of the leading Drama Schools in England. He has written four
plays for young people, all of which have been performed professionally.
