aimee easter, wardrobe supervisor
direct line - 01708 462388
Born
in Hornchurch and after `treading the boards' at the Queen's from an early
age, Aimee decided that backstage was more appealing.
Aimee graduated from
the London College of Fashion in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Costume. This led to freelance work with established costumiers producing
costumes for West End theatre. A year later Aimee joined the Royal Opera
House, Covent Garden in the Ladies Costume Production Department workroom.
Her career took an unexpected turn when her dream to work at the Sydney
Opera House in Australia was fulfilled, followed by a contract on the
film Star Wars III: Return of the Sith, at Fox Studios, and then the position
of Tailor for the Sydney Theatre company.
After a year of work
and travel in Australia she found her way back to sunny Hornchurch via,
New Zealand, China and Japan, only to find that her next challenge was
just around the corner (literally) as the Wardrobe Supervisor of the Queen's
Theatre, Hornchurch.
Wardrobe Supervisor
The Wardrobe Supervisor is responsible for realising the costume designs
for all Queen's Theatre productions and has ultimate responsibility for
all costumes whether they are made in house, bought or hired. The Wardrobe
Supervisor is also responsible for achieving and maintaining a
high standard of operational efficiency in the theatre's wardrobe department:
the cost-effective control of budgets, ensuring a healthy and safe working
environment, and the planning and development of the department's capability
to meet the theatre's programming needs.
