The Tender Trap programme cover23 June – 5 July
Tender Trap

by Max Shulman and Robert Paul Smith

Charlie Reader in Tender Trap has the perfect set up, the ideal that is every man’s dream. A flat in New York, a well paid job and any number of beautiful girls outdoing each other to cater for his needs. What more could a man ask?

Joe McCall, his friend who has a wife, three children all with bands on their teeth and a house with wall to wall carpeting, even in the bathroom, is ensnared in the little woman’s dream world, and he certainly envies Charlie.
Joe thinks he has a cure for the common cold which will bring them both a fortune. However, what is needed more is a cure for love – for both Charlie, who at one point finds himself engaged to two girls at once, and Joe who are ripe to fall and in Charlie’s case there are at least two charmers ready to catch him in their Tender Trap!
