Director Martin Berry says: “The Young Company will be a crucial magical ingredient in this year’s pantomime.  The auditions will be great fun and a wonderful opportunity not only for those lucky enough to become part of the show, but also for all of those auditioning to start to feel some of that very special Cinderella magic.  I’m very much looking forward to meeting everyone.”

Candidates must be able to sing and dance to a high standard, and preferably have some dance training. They must also have plenty of enthusiasm and commitment! Successful auditionees join the teams of chorus members, who share 59 performances of Cinderella during its run from 3 December 2016 – 14 January 2017.

Anyone interested must book their places by Wednesday 20 July. Parents or guardians should email youngcompany2016@queens-theatre.co.uk stating the child’s name, age, date of birth, address and telephone number.

The Queen’s will be in contact with a time-slot and registration form to bring on the day. Auditionees must: bring a passport-sized recent photograph; wear suitable clothes to move about in; and be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Candidates will be auditioned in groups before a judging panel led by director Martin Berry and will be asked to sing and follow a short dance routine. The song will be Queen’s hit Don’t Stop Me Now.
